As independent leather traders we operate the largest leather warehouse in the South Island of New Zealand. We can supply customers with a complete range of leathers from over 150,000sq ft in stock.  We will also shop around to ensure our customers get the best price and the highest quality product available. We are the only on-line New Zealand leather supplier where you can browse our product listings.

Our recent focus has been on  saddlery and upholstery leather as New Zealand has seen a dramatic decline in the footwear industries.  However, the furniture and upholstery markets have continued to grow despite cheap imports.  This is evidence that people are prepared to pay for quality, which is something that New Zealand and LAPCO can deliver.

We work with the design and fashion schools offering our expertise and leather. Student groups can visit our warehouse to find out more about the different leathers and their applications. Students who choose to use our leather in their assignments qualify for student discounts as we believe in encouraging the next generation of designers to use leather as these skills will help them in the future.

With our years of experience in leather, we have been supplying and assisting people into leather craft. We import and distribute a large range of leather craft tools, as well as dyes, sealers, rivets, eyelets, buckles and assorted hardware. We source the highest quality Vegetable Tanned Russet leathers and have regularly revolving stocks and different weights and grades. We also supply kitset and belt blanks and can assist in cutting hides by contract. The leathers and hides we use are by-products of the meat industry. Tanned by expert tanners, we turn them into our unique and sometimes quirky products. Our items reflect nature in its natural form, showing the scars and growth of years in the elements. Our calf hides have individual markings that are as varied as finger prints.
